April 23rd to the 26th, 2009

Well I finally got around to posting our pics from our fishing trip at Lackawanna State Park.

Only a few of us went on our annual fishing trip, It was John, Jim and myself.

It was a good time, although the fishing could have been better...the trout were there, we just couldn't catch any.

I wonder if they smelled us coming or Johns garlic bait scared them downstream.

We tried the lake and the stream... nothing.

We started at the pier and it was a bit windy.

Then we took a road trip and tried the other side of the lake, the wind wasn't as bad.

The weather was nice and the beer was cold, I couldn't ask for much more.
Although a fresh trout dinner would have been nice!

Back at camp we had our signature pallet fire going good.

Back at camp we relaxed a bit

And John's not talking about the one that got away.

I am looking forward to Killens Pond '09.
I was hoping for a 4 day trip this year, arriving Thursday night, leaving Monday morning.

I wanted to do a seafood smorgasbord this year, Clams, mussels, Crab Cakes, Surf and Turf, New England clam chowder whatever we can get our hands on.

Let me know what everyone thinks.

The trip will be in November, either the second week 12th - 16th, or 3rd weekend 19th - 23rd.
Thanksgiving is the 26th.

I will start a blog when we agree on a date in November.

Random thoughts
I will leave the Mandolin slicer home this year.
Bruce will be making deep fried pancakes.
How many pallets, 30? 40?
